Over 60 soldiers from Zrifin Air Force Base clean up the Sorek River with Zalul!
On June 30, 2009, over 60 soldiers and officers from the Zrifin Airforce Base participated in cleaning up the Sorek River estuary next to Palmachim Beach. Over 30 bags of garbage were collected from the area - leftovers from weekend visitors - primarily plastic and glass bottles, plastic bags, and leftover food.

Zalul Campaigns to Clean the Jordan River, where Jesus Christ was Baptized
Zalul has undertaken the mission of saving the Jordan River, a historic Christian waterway now contaminated by modern-day pollutants. Zalul is demanding that the polluted wastewater entering the river be replaced with clean water. The organization possesses an excellent track record for bringing about change and renewal to the rivers of Israel and has sworn that it will not turn away until its vision is complete. In addition to a campaign to raise needed funds for stopping the pollution, the organization is calling upon the Pope and other world leaders to speak out against the desecration of the Jordan River.

The "Blue Watch"
On Friday, October 20 2006, Zalul Association launched the "Blue Watch": A group of volunteers who are dedicated to protecting the marine environment in Israel.

The launch ceremony took place at the Kishon Harbor and ended with dozens of boats of the "Blue Watch" sailing away into the sea.

Conference on the Pollution of the Rivers of Israel: From Pollution to Rehabilitation
On April 12, Zalul with the Porter School of Environmental Studies held their first convention on the topic of the state of the pollution in the rivers of Israel. The conference was held in the University of Tel Aviv and was an all-day event.

The speakers who participated in the conference were amongst the leaders in the field including scientists, local decision makers, and national figures in the environmental arena.

On Tuesday, March 20th 2007, Zalul's Blue Watch took part in a kayak regatta – "rowing for a clean sea" from Nahariya to Acco.
10 yachts from the Blue Watch participated in the regatta and served as an escort for the kayaks.
