Passover cleaning has begun!

Zalul, in partnership with Billabong Surf Company, will lead a week-long beach clean-up tour beginning next Sunday, March 14, 2010.

Before Passover and the beginning of the bathing season,

Zalul and Billabong will lead a beach clean-up from the north to the south called the "Beach Clean Up Tour"

Zalul's goal is to raise public awareness about the importance of keeping the beaches clean so that in the future the public will do their part as well to keep them clean throughout the bathing season.

The beach cleanup campaign is a direct continuation of the successful campaign begun by Zalul and Billabong last year, which involved hundreds of volunteers and collected dozens of tons of garbage from the beaches of Israel.

The 2010 beach cleanup campaign will take place in Acco, Haifa, Netanya, Herzliya, and Ashdod:

Sunday, March 14: Acco – The Green Beach (aka the North Beach), 11:00-14:00 – Meeting place: Entrance to Mizra Beach

Monday, March 15: Haifa – The Student Beach, 14:00-17:00 – Meeting place: Sun Beach Restaurant

Tuesday, March 16: Netanya – Beach Cliff Beach, 14:00-17:00 – Meeting place: Beit HaNoar in "Resko"

Wednesday, March 17: Herzliya – Nechim Beach, 14:00-17:00 – Meeting point: Entrance to the beach

Thursday, March 18: Ashdod – Miami Beach, 11:00-14:00 – Meeting point: Lachish River Estuary
