"We won't give in to threats" - adhering to the law and saving the Gulf of Eilat

In three weeks, the Israeli government will have the final vote on the removal of the fish cages from the Gulf of Eilat. The decision to remove the fish cages from the Gulf is supported by all the environmental organizations in Israel as well as the leading Israeli marine biologists, the Ministry of Environment, the Committee of Building and Planning and the local and national courts. Zalul is conducting a campaign that aims to recruit visible public support for saving the Gulf of Eilat as the final vote gets near.

Zalul representatives will be at various booths throughout the country, in both large cities and suburbs, explaining to the public the importance of saving the Gulf of Eilat. The public is also encouraged to send postcards (and donate one NIS for the postage) to the different ministers who refuse to give in to political pressures and vote for preserving the Gulf.

This event marks the first time in many years that thousands of people come together to donate for a single environmental cause in Israel.
